Grimm, now Griff, is fitted for prosthetic leg!

Grimm (AKA GRIFF) is a 3 year old, 80 pound, tri-pod (3 legged) Great Pyrenees who came to GRRAND for a new, less active home. A couple of years ago he was shot and his left, front leg had to be amputated.

“Grimm is the sweetest boy! Truly a gentleman and just wants to be close to you with his head in your lap. He loves my teenage grandchildren. I bring him to the kennel with me on the days I’m there for playdates with the dogs. He gets along great with them. So playful & actually gets around pretty well.

Recently we found out that Hanger Clinic at Executive Park is going to evaluate him for a prosthetic leg and rehabilitation.

Yesterday, Griff had his initial procedure to fit him for his new prosthetic leg. The cost for the evaluation and new prosthetic leg has been generously donated by the Hanger Clinic. We also wish to thank Crestwood Animal Hospital. They’ve been there all the way with Griff and recently assisted at the clinic by monitoring Griff’s sedation to throughout the fitting procedure. We’ll keep you up to date with his progress.

We are so grateful for this amazing gift for Griff! Hooray to the Hanger Clinic and Crestwood Animal Hospital!

If you feel led to donate on Griff’s behalf for other dogs, please visit our Donation page.
