Our Beloved Miss Dixie, who we adopted from GRRAND in December of 2011, crossed over the rainbow bridge on June 30, 2023. She was our sixth Golden, and most beloved for her wonderful, kind spirit.

She moved with us from Louisville to Houston Texas in 2012, shortly after we adopted her, and then on to Greenville SC, where she lived her best life on 8 acres in the country.

She loved watching squirrels and the deer play, and her daily walks on the grounds of Furman University.

Diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 2021, she quickly recovered from having a toe amputated and was a shining star, always eager to go for a walk and see her squirrel friends and receive love and hugs from the Furman University student body. 

We thank GRRAND for bringing her into our lives…she was a wonderful dog and truly a tough little lady!  We love and miss her.
