Roonie, a resilient 3-year-old Golden Retriever mix, has become one of our cherished rescue dogs. As one of the spring 2024 pregnant moms, she brought joy into the world with seven beautiful puppies. Now that the puppies are weaned and placed in foster or forever homes, she’s been able to relax and experience love.
Recently, her foster mom noticed that she was limping and took her to the vet. It was discovered she has a torn ACL, likely from her days as a stray. This poor dog has endured so much hardship, yet her loving spirit remains unbroken, captivating the hearts of everyone she meets.
To regain her mobility, Roonie had to undergo surgery to repair the torn ACL. We are honored to cover the cost of this surgery, which will likely exceed $6000, and help put her back on track for a super loving forever home. The generosity of our GRRAND supporters makes a world of difference for Roonie and many other dogs in our care.
