Andrea has been an active GRRAND volunteer since March 2023. What began as a desire to spend time with dogs quickly became a passion for rescue. She started on the Socialization Team, and later became a Home Visit volunteer, helping foster and adoption applicants find the right match while continuing to volunteer at the kennel. Today, she serves on the Board as Event Coordinator, where she enjoys creating opportunities to connect the community with GRRAND’s mission and the wonderful dogs in its care.
Andrea is a physician-scientist and educator who is passionate about serving her community and helping animals in need. She believes that kindness and connection can make a meaningful difference in both human and animal lives.
A lifelong animal lover, Andrea grew up surrounded by retrievers and has never imagined a life without dogs. She is the proud dog mom of Jax, a water-obsessed chocolate Labrador who keeps her smiling every day. Rescue work holds a special place in her heart, and she considers time spent with the dogs one of her greatest joys. For Andrea, GRRAND is more than an organization, it is her happy place!
