Remembering Atticus.
“Atticus was the very best boy and we were so lucky to be his family. He came to us as a 7 year old with the sweetest, gentlest nature and quickly adapted to his new family.
He had lots of opinions that he expressed with his eyebrows, a deep love of frozen mango, a clockwork schedule that was to be adhered to by the humans, and a huge fan club.
Atticus didn’t love music which was tough as we are a home of professional musicians. He would often shove his head in-between our hands and whatever instrument was being played at the time. Perhaps he thought we were petting it when he deserved that attention?!
Atticus loved to snuggle with us and his favorite chicken toy of which we had to buy in bulk. Later in life he met another elderly dog and their playdates consisted of eating carrots and sleeping near each other.
Atticus was chronically underfoot when anyone was in the kitchen, did not like how grass felt on his paws, and had an intense dislike of strollers passing by our house (weird because he loved children). He stunk as a guard dog but, excelled at making people love him.
Rest in peace sweet boy, we love you so much.
