Kiko will need a privacy fenced yard (6 ft or higher) or an invisibly fenced yard as we have learned she can get over a 4 ft fence.
UPDATED: from foster family 3-4-2021:
‘Kiko is such a special dog that is extremely sweet, loyal, playful and yet a very calm eight month old puppy. She loves all people and other dogs, always stopping to say hi on walks. Kiko loves the outdoors but also seems to really enjoy her rest, laying at my feet and taking naps during the day while I work. Extremely intelligent, Kiko has caught on to routines very quickly.’
Kiko is just starting to get to know her foster family, but here’s what they say about her so far:
‘Kiko is so sweet, energetic, and has gladly been going up to people while walking around this afternoon. She is a normal eight month old puppy that needs some work on house training and loves walks! She is a little wild on the leash but adjusted to walk more with me as the day went on. She is so athletic and would definitely be a great running partner!’ (NOTE: Dogs should NOT be run until they are at least one year old).
Kiko is just now learning about the world around her, as it seems like she may not have been fully socialized in her former home. Much of her first day was spent trying to understand what these darn stair things are all about, but she will figure it out in no time!
We will be learning all about Kiko as she settles into her foster home, so please check back for more info. If you are interested in meeting Kiko, please complete an adoption application at GRRAND.org
