Knox is a healthy, happy, very active Golden Retriever/Border Collie Mix who was released to GRRAND when his owner developed Alzheimer’s and was not able to care for him. He is in foster care and loves to play with his four legged older foster brother (a playful 9-year old Golden/Lab/Shepherd mix). Knox is looking for a
sister or brother in his forever home. He MUST have a companion dog as he has never been the only dog in the house. And, Knox is good with cats!

Knox would love an active family (without young children) as he has a lot of energy. Knox enjoys walks, car rides, and loves the water and dog parks. He is very affectionate and will give you a lot of kisses. He has perfect house manners and knows several verbal and non-verbal commands: Place, Sit, Stay, Off, Wait, Back, Relax. He is the last out the door and the last back in the house. He has been trained not to get on furniture, and not to pick up food off the floor or anywhere other than his food bowl or treats that you give him. He patiently waits “on his spot” in a designated place while his meal is being prepared. Knox is trained to walk off leash using an E-Collar.

Knox deserves a loving home with active, experienced, and dog savvy parents. If you are looking for a couch potato, Knox is not going to be a good fit. Although he is a snuggler, Knox loves to exercise and needs more than to be let out in the backyard.

If you are looking for an active and very affectionate dog, Knox is the one for you!

Knox is currently being fostered in Anderson Township in Cincinnati.
