Jack has lived outside on a chain for his whole life. A Good Samaritan convinced his owners to take him to a shelter, and they contacted GRRAND. This handsome boy is very friendly with people despite how horribly he has been treated by them… Things are about to change for this sweet boy. His transporter reports that he rode very well in the car and was so super friendly. She said he just wants to be in your lap and is starved for the attention he so loves to get!
Jack is in a foster home and here is what they report…

‘Jack is extremely sweet, smart and beautiful! (just an awesome trio of traits!!) He is a big teddy bear, he LOVES to cuddle and is a fast learner as he has already learned sit, down and watch me! (yay Jack!) We have learned that Jack’s markings on his coat are called the “Badger markings” on a Great Pyr. This handsome boy walks well on a leash, is getting the hang of loose lease walking and he is friendly with strangers and great with other dogs. This guy is gaining some much needed weight and is up to 84 lbs now!! He is almost fully potty-trained and is slowly bring introduced to new parts of the house. Jack will need a fenced yard that is at least approximately 5 ft and 5 inches tall as he is a tall boy and has that Great Pyrenees roaming instinct… He also has the calm and majestic nature of his breed which is just amazing. So, with his curiosity and height, he will counter-surf if given the opportunity and needs owners that can practice good management (keeping food off of the counters) which is really easy to do and we have a baby gate to keep him out of the kitchen when we are not directly supervising him which has worked well.
We truly feel that Jack is an absolutely wonderful dog and needs someone who has time to continue his manners training and lots of love to give.’
