Meet Ginger!
  • 8Would enjoy being the only dog
Ginger is a wonderful 4 yr old pure golden who is house and crate trained and walks well on leash. She also LOVES to retrieve a tennis ball and her tennis ball and launcher have come with her so she can take them to her new home. Ginger gets along well with other dogs in public, but she can be possessive of her tennis ball around other dogs in her home so GRRAND volunteers wonder if she might be happiest in a home where she is the only dog and doesn’t need to protect her ball. Ginger was given up by her owners because there was concern from the owner’s children that her possessiveness of her balls may result in her resource-guarding her ball, toys or food from their young children who are under the age of four. Ginger travels well in the car, is extremely loving, and would make a wonderful companion for an adult family or a family with older children. She will need a fenced yard in order to be able to retrieve her ball. If Ginger may be the dog for you, please submit the adoption application from GRRAND’s website. Ginger is waiting for her new family in a foster home at this time so we are really hoping a great new family will come along for her soon!
