Charlie came to us in rough shape after being hit by a car. In addition to needing a plate for a broken femur, stitches in his tongue, and being treated for bruised ribs and lungs, he was also infested with ticks and has tested positive for Lyme disease.
Luckily, he is in great hands in his foster home. They are still getting to know his personality, as he is medicated for pain, but he has just started wagging his tail! He seems to startle easily, but he loves to be loved on. He is eating puppy food to put on some much needed weight, and he appears to be housebroken.
We’re so thankful for Charlie’s foster family taking such great care of him, and for everyone who has donated to his care. His vet bills have quickly climbed to over $3,000 for diagnostics, surgery, and meds, and that’s before we’ve done the basic vetting we do for every GRRAND dog
