Caroline needs a safe haven with a family that can help manage her epilepsy and take great care of her when she experiences one of her grand mal seizures.
Caroline is a 6 yr old lab/golden mix who was given up by her family who has a 10 month old baby and two working parents, with the husband out of town much of the time. Caroline’s “mom” felt overwhelmed and unable to cope with the baby and Caroline on her own. Caroline is house trained and trustworthy indoors and is an active, loving dog, but she is on medication for seizures and will have a seizure every couple of weeks. She is currently in foster care with a person who is gone all day and has a lab, but Caroline can be rough when she plays and the foster mom has to keep her on leash when outside with her dog. Caroline needs a foster home where she is either the only dog or with perhaps an older dog who doesn’t want to play. She could also go with children. Caroline desperately needs somewhere to go so she doesn’t end up back at the kennel.
