Calm, Gentle Sandy Passes Over the Rainbow Bridge

We adopted Sandy on 4/4/04 – he was approx. 3-4 years old.  He was positive for heartworm.  After the treatment, he was able to enjoy playing and being with my husband and I.  Sandy’s favorite toy was a tennis ball, although he liked his Frisbee also.   He would play ball whenever anyone would play with him, bringing it to us and to any friends or family who came to our house.  Sandy was the best dog anyone could ever have.  He was my shadow – indoors or outside.  He was calm, gentle, loving and loyal.  He was great with children and adults.  We adopted another GRRAND golden – Charley – and they were best friends.  Sandy passed away on 4/4/19 – exactly 15 years after we adopted him (approx. 18-19 years old).  Our vet said that Sandy was the “oldest large breed dog he had ever treated!”  What a wonderful blessing!  We miss him very much!
